About Fit Foods
Fit Foods is a locally owned meal-prep company serving Redlands and the Inland Empire. For more than 12 years, we’ve made fresh, never-frozen meals using organic produce, organic chicken, premium beef, organic glyphosate-free grains and beans and no seed oils.
Founded by Tracey, Fit Foods grew from a lifelong passion for fitness, nutrition and great food into a local meal-prep company built around one simple idea: healthy eating should taste great and fit into real life.
Healthy food shouldn’t taste like a diet.
Fresh. Organic. Never frozen.
Made for real life.
Meet Tracey
I started Fit Foods because I believe healthy food should be something you actually look forward to eating. After years in fitness and competitive bodybuilding, I knew firsthand that reaching your goals didn’t have to mean living on plain chicken, dry tuna and boring vegetables. Great nutrition can be fresh, flavorful and genuinely delicious — and that idea became the foundation of Fit Foods.
A Love of Food Came First
After moving from Nova Scotia to Southern California, I fell in love with the incredible fresh ingredients and flavors here — especially Mexican food. Growing up in eastern Canada, Mexican food meant boxed hard-shell tacos and seasoning packets!
California introduced me to a whole new world of fresh chiles, homemade salsas, tortillas, posole, tamales and beans. I learned from friends and their families, experimented in my own kitchen, and started figuring out how to create the bold flavors I loved in a healthier way. That combination of great flavor and better nutrition still influences the Fit Foods menu today.
50 Shows. Years of Training. A Lot of Lessons.
Fitness has been a huge part of my life for decades. Over the course of my competitive career, I stepped onstage 50 times, competing in NPC, CBBF and IFBB fitness and figure competitions.
I spent years competing at the national level, collecting more second- and third-place finishes than I care to count, always chasing the goal of earning professional status.
Competition taught me discipline and consistency — but it would eventually teach me something even more important about health.
The Moment I Became an IFBB Pro
In 2011, after years of national-level competition, I finally earned my IFBB Pro status at the CBBF Nationals — one of the proudest moments of my competitive career.
That moment represented far more than a placing. It was years of training, early mornings, strict diets, setbacks, second places, third places and refusing to quit.
But reaching that goal also helped change the direction of my life. I began to understand that being incredibly lean and looking fit were not necessarily the same thing as being truly healthy.
A Few More Moments From the Journey
From the Stage to Strength
Eventually, fitness became less about how I looked onstage and more about what my body could actually do. CrossFit gave me a completely different challenge — strength, conditioning, skill, performance and the chance to push myself in an entirely new way.
Those years reinforced something I still believe today: food isn’t punishment for what you ate yesterday, and it isn’t just about looking a certain way. It’s fuel for a body you want to keep strong, capable and healthy for a very long time.
Health Became Bigger Than the Stage
Years of strict contest dieting and intense training eventually took a toll on my body. The experience completely changed the way I thought about food, fitness and long-term health.
I stopped believing that nutrition had to be extreme to be effective. Food could fuel performance, support health, taste incredible and still fit into a normal life.
Eat well. Fuel your body. Enjoy your food. Build habits you can actually sustain.
Life Beyond the Kitchen
Fit Foods is a huge part of my life, but it isn’t my whole life. The years since competing have brought a different kind of happiness — family, marriage, friendships and building a business that lets me turn everything I’ve learned about food and fitness into something that helps other people.
And, of course, the four-legged family members.
