The word za’atar (pronounced “zah-tahr”) literally translates to mean “wild thyme” in Arabic. It is delicious! We have been making our own spice blends forever, and our version of this beauty goes something like this- thyme, black sesame seeds, Sumac, Coriander, cumin and fennel (you’re welcome copy cat meal prep companies…)
This meal won’t disappoint- Za’atar sliced skirt steak, roasted zucchini, nutty couscous with a another new sauce- Chermoula- (lemon, grape seed oil, cilantro, mint, red pepper flakes…)
